Every beginning is beautiful
The year always starts with good intentions and high expectations, but putting them into practice is often not so easy. Motivation quickly fades and frustration grows. Therefore, it’s better to set realistic goals; with small steps, you can also reach your goal.
Less is More
We want to save the world, live healthier, and exercise. The bigger the goals, the stronger the inner resistance. Habits cannot be changed overnight, so it’s better to focus on small changes. Small rituals are much easier to integrate into daily life than a complete dietary overhaul. If you want to drink more water, carry a bottle of water in your handbag and place a glass of water on your bedside table. Replace chocolate and sweets with fruit and nuts. Instead of training for a marathon right away, you can gradually add more movement to your daily routine. Which routes can also be easily reached on foot or by bike? The best resolution is simply to believe in yourself and do what feels good.

Healthy Living with Children
Besides love, children also need a balanced and wholesome diet to grow big and strong. The development of the body and brain requires a tremendous amount of energy. Therefore, a variety of important nutrients and good foods are needed.
Breakfast Ideas
Healthy eating starts with breakfast. What goes into our children's lunchboxes? The ideas for fillings are endless. From tomato-mozzarella skewers, vegetable sticks with dip, various types of bread and rolls with all kinds of toppings, to berries and colorful fruit assortments. Children are curious and also like to try new things. Have they already tried kumquats, dragon fruit, and papaya? Banana muffins
Bananas are healthy, good for digestion, contain a lot of potassium and magnesium, and also make you feel full. Banana bread has been very popular for some time now. Here is a recipe variant for muffins, which also fit in any breakfast box for young and old and are super practical for on the go.
Ingredients:
150 g spelt flour
2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
100 ml milk
1 tsp baking powder
50 g walnuts
Here’s how:
Mash the bananas with a fork and mix well with the eggs, milk, flour, and baking powder. Coarsely chop the walnuts and add them to the batter. You can also optionally add other nuts, berries, or fruits.
Fill muffin cups halfway with batter and bake for 15-20 minutes at 180° top/bottom heat. Since ripe bananas bring a lot of sweetness, the recipe requires no added sugar. If that’s not enough, you can eat fruit puree or jam with it.

Playfully eat healthily
Whether shopping or cooking, let the children actively participate. Chopping fruit and vegetables and trying new foods brings the little ones a lot of joy. Those who also value regional foods can take the children to the weekly market. Don’t forget the jute bag and basket.
With the market stall from howa, children learn to handle goods playfully and can imitate shopping like the grown-ups. Of course, you can also sell real fruit and vegetables here and snack on little treats now and then.
