Wooden toys made of wood by howa Spielwaren In 1995, the era of the wooden toy manufacturer howa began in Steinach in the Thuringian Slate Mountains. Back then, with puppet theaters and drawing boards, the company fascinated families who valued sustainable and efficient toys. Due to high demand, the company expanded under the leadership of Silke Hausdörfer and moved in 2003 to Neustadt near Coburg. High-quality and beautifully designed wooden toys for children from 12 months old characterize the family business – and have done so for over 20 years. Made from the natural material wood, the toys are child-friendly and durable. The company places special emphasis on safety for children and sustainability in production. Additionally, howa has established itself in many national and international toy markets. Customers of the toy manufacturer now come from all over Europe and Asia.

Safe, sustainable, efficient – howa toys with heart

The company howa pays attention to safety, sustainability, and efficiency in the selection of raw materials, product manufacturing, and design. The range includes many products that are otherwise mostly only available in plastic versions, such as the Beauty Center, the doctor's kit, and the extensive set of construction vehicles. Made from the natural material wood, they are long-lasting. The wood for the products comes from sustainable forestry that places great value on the natural regenerative capacity of the forest. In toy production, howa prioritizes continuous improvement of processes and machinery. This allows energy to be used optimally and waste to be largely avoided. Child-safe, sweat- and saliva-proof paints are used for coatings, which are also applied efficiently.

Discover the world with wooden toys

High-quality and beautifully designed wooden toys like play kitchens, workbenches, or dollhouses invite kids to discover the adult world through imitation. Shopping, doing laundry, and cooking like mom fascinate children just as much as when dad works at the workbench or mows the lawn. Quietly and secretly, children imitate these everyday situations that are so normal to us. Wooden toys encourage play and provide an incentive for independent activity. Loving details on the various play devices spark children's curiosity to the fullest. Since everyday objects are especially interesting for little rascals, but mom and dad are understandably reluctant to give their real plates, pots, and hammers to children mainly for safety reasons, howa's wooden toys are particularly suitable.
